I'm presently in my senior year at the University of Maryland, and I will receive a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in the spring. After graduating, my plan is to start working on a doctorate in aeronautical engineering.Prior to starting my college career, I worked as a tutor and, in this capacity, helped high school students in subjects areas like precalculus and algebra. I have the skills needed to tutor in a wide array of topics because I was an A student in various courses from high school throughout college. While I'm versatile in my tutoring competencies, I'm most effective when it comes to providing instruction in mathematics. The reason for this is that my prior tutoring expertise came as a result of helping people with their math homework, and my scholastic focus in college has been significantly focused on mathematics.It is my conviction that all students learn in different ways, so one of my duties is to figure out each student's learning style so as to tailor my lesson plan to most effectively reach the student. With the right teaching methodology, any and all students can be taught even the most complex concepts and ideas.While not studying or tutoring, I like working on engineering projects, adding to my skill set, gaming, and doing computer programming.
